For Those Who Need an Extra Little Bit of Attention
Unfortunately, not all animals that are sick and injured can simply be treated during a consultation and they may require hospitalisation for further tests and treatments. When a patient is admitted into hospital they come under the care of an assigned Vet and Nurse. This team will monitor and check on your pet, determine what tests are required, interpret the results, and provide any necessary treatment.
We have three wards within the hospital, one specifically for cats, one for dogs and one for anaesthesia recovery. The feline ward has large spacious cages, a feliway diffuser and feline music (yes it does seem to help). There is also specialised bedding, perching places and best of all no dogs! For the canine patients we have different size cages depending on the size of your pet, specialised bedding and an adaptil diffuser. We also play music in the ward to make your pet feel more at home.
Our recovery area is where your pets can be monitored during anaesthesia recovery or if they need intensive care because of serious illness. We have intravenous fluid pumps, ECG and Blood Pressure monitors. We also boast an extensive in-house laboratory, radiology and ultrasonography.
We have the ability to provide frequent overnight assessments for hospitalised patients or if round the clock care is required we can liase with one of the emergency Veterinary practices on behalf of your pet and your family.
